Housed on the 1st floor of the Department's Building and includes the Laboratory of Systematic Botany
Ecology: Population and Community Ecology, Functional Ecology, Fire Ecology, Biogeography, Conservation Biology, Molecular Ecology, Ecological Modeling, Environmental Management, Environmental Education.
Systematics: Morphology, Biosystematics, Evolution – Phylogeny of Living Beings. Supervision, operation and development of the Botanical Museum and the Botanical Garden of Athens University, Exhibitions of Natural History, Collections of Mycetes (ATHUM), and of Algae (Athu-Al).
The Section has the responsibility of teaching the following undergraduate courses: a) Plant Taxonomy and Biosystematics, b) General Ecology, c) Population Ecology, d) Aquatic Plant Organisms, e) Terrestrial Plants and Fungi, f) Surface Waters, g) Terrestrial Ecosystems of Greece.
